Just two friends grinding out some of our favorite songs! Our footage is raw and we only use live takes, no shenanigans.
Currently we are covering Ghost songs but we definitely plan on doing covers of many different bands, mainly metal-based music.
Please subscribe and give us your feedback, we would love it. Also if you are interesting in collaborating with us, that can be arranged.

Mark Holcomb Clinic [4k] John Petrucci's Wise Words
Переглядів 102 тис.5 років тому
*PLEASE READ* Hey guys we filmed another Mark Holcomb clinic and this time in 4k along with a 1080p angle and a GoPro right under Mark! The lighting was a little low so the GoPro doesn't work the best, but nonetheless, still a great shot. One of the more interesting things Mark talked about was how Periphery first got to the "Big Stage" (1000 people ) after Dream Theater asked Periphery to tour...

[New] Ghost- Ashes & Faith Drum Cover (HD)

*Drums start at 0:47 I decided to knock out two drum covers at one time since Ashes is a pretty short introduction. I mashed up Faith with Ashes (as an intro) and I think it sounds awesome! Super excited to continue covering the rest of the album. Not just drums, but guitar too! Please leave a like, comment, & subscribe if you enjoyed the video.

is underoath
That clean scarlet riff at 1:11:00 gets me. I hope he does much more clean stuff in the future either with periphery or haunted shores.
Holy shit. How is he that good at guitar and bass? And mixing?
Sound bad fuckin ass guys
Tabs?
Seems like a super chill wise young man. Great musician to boot
can we get the tabs?
"Iam gonna go home and use my thumb." -Mark Holcolm words to live by baby.
oh goddamnit now i wanna chuck vocals into this for my own fun 😭 i already have enough projects on my hands..
i did played his Guitar the other day ,was a 6s version did not thought the Bridge Pickups where that ULTRA CRAZY powerful in comparison to the Black SG i was also playing that day or my Seymour D Distortion i have on my other Gibson but i don't maybe is cos that Guitar had some old 11 gauge string set on it and may it sound off tone wise still a good G
such cool guy and relatable in a many ways wish to see him covering more Doom Metal style of riffs
What’s the tuning?
Tabs?
Majority of guitarist have alien fingers 😂😂👽
I like to roll two six-sided dice and use what comes up in three roles as where the songs going to go as far as frets
Fuckin Ace. Sick tone, bro!
I worked at Bill's during this time! I couldn't stay for the clinic, but I did a lot of the setup and display of the PRS' off camera and talked to Mark when he arrived. Such a sweet guy. I was so starstruck.
What a beautiful soul mark is
can you do tutorial
Drop ?
The fake laught when he mentioned ‘Miami’ was stupid asf.
Mrak honeycomb :D
Can you share the chords?
Satan is most pleased by this. Well done!
I need a tutorial
Nice!!
I respect mark and I thought the cold call thing was kinda weird lol isn’t the common ground that both of you guys do music. I totally understand if he feels that way about people who expect something after he listens to their music like an opinion, review or contract haha. I would just give him a cd or link to my music and expect nothing in return lol
Wasn't it Lufthansa?
I grew up in the 80's and 90's so I'm old school guitar. When I heard Periphery for the first time, my mind was blown. It influenced me to stretch out in how and what I play. My chords have definitely gotten more technical and I went back to relearn Modes.
Hell yea I’m 25 but I love when older people say they still like music coming out now. I feel so many people write new stuff off without listening to a full song and they are missing out!
Such a humble and intelligent human.
Such a humble person
One comment about the locking tuners because he has mentioned this in at least two vids - they don't reduce the unwanted de-tuning effect when turning the peg by accident such as when you bump into someone. All locking tuners I've used do not lock the actual tuning peg. Assuming the term locking tuners is the right term for what he's describing, there are two advantages of locking tuners. First there is minimal to no string wound around the peg that can shift or stretch. The string simply slides through the peg once and gets locked into place. The more string wound around the peg the more it would affect tuning stability (it can shift and stretch). The second advantage is just convenience and this is also a major advantage, string changes are quick and hassle-free at the headstock end.
32:09 Yeah, I was there. Felt so bad for these guys, you could feel the anxiety ramp up every minute of it.
Fuuuuck!
Holcomb's style rocks. Love his work and his chill/modest approach. This is why I love playing metal. 🤘🏽
5:15 unconscious Misha pun. It runs in his veins
Great cover
Spiritbox’s guitarist, Mike Stringer has an 8 string guitar…It’s sick…
Gotta be pretty intimidating for Guitar Jesus our lord and savior to tell you that you need to fix your shit. He seems like such a nice guy too lol
2:52 saving the tuning really quick!
30:01
Mark is such a good story teller. I could listen to him talking for days.
Pantera, Scar Symmtery, and Soilwork pure djent (besides obviously meshuggah)
He's one of those guitarists that don't make we want to practice. He's utterly bland. Jeff Loomis, just to name a metal guitarist, makes me want to practice. He's very clean and technical and he knows music theory. Mark doesn't know music theory and most of the stuff he plays is so annoying to listen to it's just not making me want to emulate him. I listen to Periphery occasionally and I love a lot of their songs but they don't inspire me musically.
You know how many great guitarist don’t know theory? You sound like someone whose just jealous and lazy if you need someone to inspire you to play.
Then do what does inspire you. No need to neg someone who just loves to play guitar and write.
most ignorant comment award
Correction: JAMES HETFIELD was the 1st DJENT Guy. What I mean is his Palm Muting and I jokingly always say that Injustice for All was the 1st Djent album and Metallica's 1st and only djent album hahaha!!!
You wil see us on a stage in march 2019. Pah that did not age well #COVID
Funny thing you guys carrying a hammer and a squared level around...
great video but awful sound quality and tone, especially for mark and periphery
32:40 Misha told this exact story when he was on Coffee with Ola
Thank you so much
when your music lacks inspiration listen to Periphery
He is so well spoken.
